Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but nobody has time to make a full breakfast Monday through Friday. If you are one of those people that can, you are definitely a privileged few. If you’re one of those that simply don’t have the time in the morning, I understand your pain. But even if we don’t have enough time, it doesn’t mean that our breakfast should lack nutrition and taste.
If you have been following me for a while, you know that I dislike eggs with a passion. So finding something nutritious and satiating in the morning is always a struggle. My latest smoothie creation is so tasty, filling and nutritious that it can double as breakfast or dessert. Blueberries, Bananas, Flax-seeds and Oats makes the perfect combo in any oat smoothie. Not only just for taste and texture but for the fiber, nutrients and vitamins provided in these ingredients. I’ve spoken about the great benefits of kefir on one of my past post, but adding it as part of a daily supplement to your food intake is really beneficial to your health. Plain is better but if you can’t handle it try the flavored one but be mindful of the sugar. Blend this all up and you got yourself a full breakfast in a cup! What’s not to love? Check out the recipe below:
Blueberry Flax Oat Smoothies
- 2 cups Organic Blueberries (fresh or frozen)
- 1/3 cup of Raw Organic Oatmeal
- 8oz Organic Kefir (plain preferably or blueberry flavored)
- 1 Ripe Banana
- 2 Dates (pitted)
- 3 tablespoon of Flax-seeds
- Almond milk or Water (add less for a thicker consistency or more for a thinner consistency)
- Cinnamon
- Protein Powder(optional)

Happy Sipping!
