Cranberry Oat Breakfast Smoothie

As we’re coming to an end for Thanksgiving week, I am thankful for every minute I get to share with my loved ones. This year has truly been a great one filled with love and laughter. My family has been my taste testers from the very start of this blog and they have tested many dishes from me and Thanksgiving is no different. One dish that I always do for Thanksgiving but my family doesn’t personally enjoy is cranberry sauce. I always do a fresh batch each year and end up trying to make leftover dishes with it but this year I thought what better way to make use of the cranberry sauce than to make breakfast smoothies. The great thing about my family is that if I make a smoothie, they will drink it cause they know my smoothies are packed with fruits and veggies.

So this will probably be the plan from here on out, Cranberry Oat Breakfast Smoothie is the official post-Thanksgiving breakfast! Check out the recipe below:

 

Cranberry Oat Breakfast Smoothie

Making use of that leftover cranberry sauce from Thanksgiving to make a tasty and quick breakfast smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Cranberry Sauce
  • 1/2 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 banana
  • 12 oz almond milk
  • 1 scoop protein powder
  • 1/2 cup rolled oat
  • 1 cup ice optional

Instructions

  • Addthe cranberry sauce, blueberries, banana, almond milk, protein powder, oatmeal and ice in a blender.
  • Blend till smooth.
  • Serve and enjoy.
